On a whim, I decided to start a blog. Well actually, it was after I had consumed my second glass of wine. I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions, but I do set goals, and I am just a little bit serious with this goal. To increase my alcohol tolerance, and to have more fun, I have given myself a 2 drink minimum in 2008. This applies just to weekends and holidays, of course. So blog entries may actually happen, but to make sure they are interesting, only after I have met the 2 drink minimum!

I have actually met this 2 drink minimum 8 of the last 9 days. How many people do you know who turn 40 and vow to drink more?

You all know I am not especially creative, so it was hard to think of a blog name. Since becoming a Mustang owner, Tim calls me Mustang Tami, so Mustang Tami it is.

Tonight, my first night of being age 40, I downloaded songs for the first time! (So just think what I might be able to do at age 80!) Wilson Pickett’s Mustang Sally was one of the first I found. It will be the first song played when Go White is taken out in the spring, so I am excited about that. Hope it comes soon.

I found the absolute best Christmas music, and I’m serious. You know how I don’t like Christmas music, so this must be good - Rick Springfield, Christmas With You. It is some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard. Who would think that Rick Springfield screaming out “I wish that I had Jessie’s Girl” really had a nice voice, beyond his great looks? Well, he does.

This prompted me to look up another of my Christmas favorites, The Eagles, singing Please come Home for Christmas. Don Henley and Rick Springfield are now tied for first place on my list of most attractive male singers. (Sorry Fred, although your singing is great, I don’t think you even desire to be on my list.)
